When you need to contract a simultaneous translation company in Brazil
You will need a simultaneous interpretation and translation company in Brazil for medium or large events, when there is a lecturer who does not speak Portuguese or does not speak the language of those who are listening to him. In this case, two interpreters work together in a soundproof booth which is located at the back of the room, alternating every 20 or 30 minutes.
The translators or better, the interpreters, hear what the speaker says through a sound system, immediately translating into the language of the audience who listens through a receiver linked to headphones. At the entrance of the event, receptionists hand the participants headphones and a receiver (the receivers look like a small radio) and the audience then listens to the translation simultaneously, that is, at exactly the same time the speaker delivers, hence the name *simultaneous *.

When to contract consecutive translation services in Brazil
You will use consecutive translation for small events and meetings or for short speeches (less than one hour). In this case, one interpreter translates what the speaker says. It is called “consecutive” because the two people never speak at the same time, one person speaks, while the interpreter listens; then the interpreter translates what he/she has heard.
If it’s a short talk in a large room, you’ll only need two microphones, one for the speaker and the other mic for the interpreter. If you decide to use portable translation equipment, you can move from consecutive to simultaneous translation which is better and more professional.
Consecutive translation is ideal for short events or for events with a large amount of people making the distribution of receivers impossible. However, simultaneous translation is always the best solution.
